NFV deployments represent some of the most demanding workloads in OpenStack clouds, yet the economic and operational promise of NFV makes this a high-value technical challenge for service providers worldwide. In this webinar we will discuss a joint solution based on Big Cloud Fabric and Red Hat OpenStack Platform 7 for a tier-1 US service provider in one of the industry’s largest deployment of NFV infrastructure to date. Big Switch’s Big Monitoring Fabric, has been extended with a service node appliance that delivers advanced network services for data center monitoring by leveraging Intel’s Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK). We will discuss the details of the newly introduced service node, including: •Service Node Hardware Form Factor and software based on Intel DPDK •Advanced service node features such as De-deduplication, Packet Slicing, and RegEx Pattern Matching along with use cases •Scale-out deployment by clustering multiple Service Nodes
