Increasingly, production in UHD and HDR is becoming the ‘gold standard’ across vast areas of M&E. Whilst UHD can undoubtedly yield impressive results for viewers with sufficiently large and high-end screens, it is HDR that is often delivering the biggest ‘wow factor’ for content ranging from natural history factual to lavish costume dramas. And with many streaming services now stipulating UHD and HDR deliverables, the onus is on content creators to enable work in these formats as fluidly as possible.
