Gaining understanding from complexity via simulation.

To perform in today’s complex refining and petrochemical industries, engineers need digital tools that enable them to design and operate safer, more efficient and reliable equipment, processes and facilities. This webinar will illustrate how simulation-based digital twins can be embraced to develop the most complete understanding of the complex physical and chemical processes in equipment and facilities that engineers design, operate and maintain.

This webinar is for anyone in the refining or petrochemical industry who is:

- Involved in either design or operation of equipment or facilities
- Interested in the latest predictive digital twin and simulation technology, its value and impact on design and operations

Simulation-based digital twins provide unparalleled insight and understanding that delivers tangible benefits

Whether the aim is to improve process performance and system efficiency, meet environmental targets or ensure structural integrity and process safety, simulation-based digital twins provide unparalleled insight and understanding that delivers tangible benefits to operators, engineering and equipment companies embracing this technology. Using illustrative case studies, the webinar will show how a predictive-engineering approach is being applied in refining and petrochemical processes throughout the complete engineering lifecycle from initial design and through the complete operating life of a facility.

The case studies presented will cover a wide range of technical challenges, including control and management of process flows, particle dynamics, heat transfer and structural behavior, and aim to demonstrate how predictive digital twins are helping optimize refinery equipment performance, plan maintenance and avoid unplanned shutdowns. From high-fidelity simulation to full system predictions, the cases discussed will demonstrate the multi-physics and multi-fidelity capability of Siemens Simcenter.

Who should attend?

- Engineers involved in the design or operation of refinery and petrochemical equipment and facilities
- Engineers, analysts and managers interested in the latest predictive digital twin and simulation technology, its value and impact on design and operations
- Engineering managers who would like to expand their team’s technical offering in digital-based design or operational support to meet their business and market demands
- Anyone who would like to learn how predictive digital twins can be deployed to improve and optimize designs and operational processes
- Anyone interested in Multiphysics and multi-fidelity simulation including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), particle flow (DEM) and system simulation

Presenters:

- Ravi Aglave, PhD, Director, Energy & Process Industries, Siemens Digital Industries Software
- Doug Kolak, Business Development Manager, Fluid System Simulation, Siemens Digital Industries Software

... Leer más
