Davis announced today a new podcast series describing Versata's allegations that Ford compromised Versata software trade secrets in secretly inventing substitute software for Versata's product — a product that Versata claims saved Ford over $1 billion. 

Davis explained that the reason he is releasing the podcast series was to provide Versata with an opportunity to tell its story.  Because of a long-standing legal rule in U.S. courts that gives absolute immunity to statements made in legal papers, Versata cannot sue Ford for defamation regarding the content of Ford false statements contained in legal filings.
